ARE RGE RD GIFT CERTIFICATES HONOURED AT THE BUTCHERY?

No, RGE RD gift certificates are only redeemable at RGE RD.

WHAT IS THE BUTCHERY?

The Butchery is full service whole animal butcher shop. We provide a full range of proteins from poultry and pork to beef and game meats. We will offer grab and go sandwiches throughout the week as well as convenient prepared items to enhance at home dining. Everything is prepared in house by a team of experts in their field. We showcase farmers who are true stewards of our land—ethically raising livestock and contributing to a sustainable model of agriculture.

Where is The Butchery located?

We are located right next door to RGE RD at 12229 – 107 Ave, Edmonton AB.

Where does your meat come from?

We are proud to partner with:

Nonay Beef – raised by Lakeside Farmstead in Sturgeon County, north of Bon Accord. The breed is Holstein beef cross, currently crossed with Speckled Park. Grass and grain-fed.

Redtail Beef – raised by Redtail Farm in Castor. The breed is Scottish Luing, a hardy breed naturally well suited for harsh, prairie winters. Rotational grazing for completely grass-fed and grass-finished beef.

Pilatus Farm – Canadian Rangeland Bison – out of Rimbey, Alberta. Work with bison farmers across Alberta for slaughtering and marketing but all bison live in their natural habitat their whole lives.

Four Whistle Farm – raises duck, chicken and turkey out of their farm in Millet. All-natural and free-range.

Nature’s Green Acres – The farm is just south of Viking. They pasture raise a few heritage breeds of pork. Tamworth, Mule Foot, Large Black and Berkshire. All hardy breeds that love and can handle the outdoors.

Redtail Farms- raised by Redtail Farm in Castor. The Redtail quora of pigs are Berkshires. This hardy breed is well adapted to the elements and renowned for its juiciness, flavour, and tenderness. These pigs are allowed to fully express their true nature, spending their lives rotationally rooting through forests and perennial pastures, and are finished on alfalfa, mixed grains and pasture.
